Philip Harrison SJ is a Jesuit priest from Bristol. After studies in English Language and Literature at the University of Leeds, he worked for three years as a volunteer with the homeless in Glasgow and people with disabilities in Liverpool. His formation included training as a secondary school teacher in Scotland, studying theology in Latin America, and completing a licentiate in Sacred Scripture at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. He is currently undertaking his tertianship.
Elizabeth read English at Oxford and has done research on twentieth-century literature and literary theory. In the past she has also worked for the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography and the Oxford English Dictionary. As well as working for The Way, she does freelance copy-editing and proof-reading for various publishers.

Ruby Murphy, a retired local government official, helps with office tasks
